A New Office For A New Client Era

CCS McLays has seen significant growth over the last 18 months with a host of new customers coming on board, in addition to many existing customers renewing contracts with the retail specialists.

The company’s recent successes has seen it move to new offices at Cardiff Gate International Business Park, just off J30 on the M4.

The new headquarters of the global operation is almost double the size of CCS McLays’ previous home at Longwood Drive, near Coryton.

The new space, which was moved into in February this year, reflects its ongoing growth and future plans to expand.

Among the clutch of new clients that CCS McLays now supply are JD Sports Fashion Group, L.K. Bennett and Schuh.

The JD Sports Fashion Group includes international retail brands such as JD, Size?, Footpatrol, Chausport, Sprinter and Finish Line.

CCS McLays serves all its 1,200 stores as the single-source supplier of its store consumables & goods not for resale (GNFR), in addition to bespoke packaging supplies.

A recent challenge with JD Sports was met head-on when the group undertook a programme of 103 new store openings across Europe within three months. CCS McLays, together with its logistics partner Youngs, ensured that each store received what was needed for its opening.

It was a huge operation and the company sent members of the account management team to selected stores across Europe to ensure the process was delivered smoothly. It was a huge success in terms of the demanding challenge faced.
