On 1st November, 2025, Stoke-on-Trent-based TPSG Packaging officially started trading as CCS McLays, a leading global provider of consumables, packaging and catering supplies for retail brands and high street food outlets.
TPSG Procurement (as it was known previously) was a leading supplier of reusable carrier bags, e-commerce, and gift packaging that was successfully acquired by CCS McLays in June 2024. This was part of CCS McLays’ ambitious growth strategy to strengthen its presence in the food and retail packaging sectors. The business has since been trading as TPSG Packaging.
Since the company was founded in 2013, TPSG Packaging has developed deep expertise in packaging, procurement and design, sustainable packaging, and consumables. The company continues to be led by Andrew McNair, and comprises four key personnel: James Howard, Business Development Manager, Anne Stanway, Finance Manager and Danielle Waters, Key Account Manager. As they represent CCS McLays from November, the team will continue operating from their base in Stoke-on-Trent playing a major role in the group’s growth ambitions.
There is considerable mutual benefit to CCS McLays and TPSG Packaging uniting and the two brands consolidating. As a combined force with CCS McLays, TPSG Packaging benefits from CCS McLays’ combined expertise and highly respected industry profile. CCS McLays has equally realised significant advantages of working with TPSG’s team of highly experienced packaging experts.
Operating in the same markets with similar products, it made good commercial sense for both companies to work towards shared objectives. Particularly given the overlap in their target segments, product lines and distribution channels, with TPSG now trading as CCS McLays this further boosts CCS McLays’ capabilities to meet customers’ needs.
More recently, in August this year, CCS McLays acquired packaging specialist, Dempson, which aims to double the capacity and sales at Dempson whilst taking the overall CCS McLays group from turnover of ~£100m to £150m within three years.
Ian Hall, CEO at CCS McLays said: “The merging of the two brands allows us to benefit from the expert knowledge of the TPSG Packaging team, to promote clear joint goals and ensure non-competitive activities. Over the duration of work so far, we have realised we are stronger together and have even greater confidence in our capabilities. CCS McLays is now ideally positioned for a major gear shift in the manufacture and supply for our customers’ and future customers’ UK, European and global consumables needs.
“We’re focused on progressing our long-term strategy to broaden our product offering to move into different retail sectors, such as supermarkets, groceries, and hospitality. This will enable customers to make significant cost savings through our solutions delivered at scale.”
Andrew McNair said: "Having worked with the CCS McLays team for the last 2 years day-to-day, we’re delighted to officially become CCS McLays in name too. In combining our specialist skills and existing customers, we are innovating and delivering custom packaging faster, while accelerating the design and delivery of innovative, client-focused solutions. Our high standards of work are perfectly matched and we’re proud to be able to say we’re CCS McLays.”
