CCS McLays is pleased to share a recent packaging development that has taken place with Dr. Martens. As part of Dr. Martens’ overall sustainability objectives, they are aiming for all packaging to either be recycled or manufactured using sustainably sourced material by 2028.

With this in mind, we supported them to introduce revised “Love My Docs” non-woven footwear bags that are made from 100% recycled post-consumer waste and designed for repeated use. The bags which have been rolled out to all stores within the EMEA region are due to be introduced to other regions at a later date, replacing the former “Love My Docs” virgin polypropylene non-woven footwear bags.

Thus, the potential saving of virgin polypropylene as the raw material is huge.

Dr. Martens identified environmental impacts from supply chain manufacturing processes as one of their key impact areas as they seek to reduce their impact on the planet, so we’re delighted to have had the opportunity to support them on this journey.
